Getting Started
How do I get the most of my membership?
Participate in the Slack group! The purpose of the membership is to connect you with other female developers. If you get stuck or have a question when you’re coding, ask. You will get helpful and detailed answers. You will also understand the concepts much better than fumbling on your own.
Pick and choose the events that are right for you. For example, if you are new to coding, you should participate more in the Mentorship Hours and ask questions in Slack.
If you are learning a new concept, check out our Recommended Resources section for courses and places to practice your knowledge.
If you’re building a project, then check out our Project Files with all design assets, so you can just get down to coding!
Where do I start?
Our Slack group is where most of the actions happen! If you are not familiar with Slack and how it works, here’s a 2-minute overview.
Events
How can I see the upcoming events?

I don’t have the time to attend all the events! Help!
Don’t try to attend all the events! This is a global community, there are lots of event options to accommodate everyone, but you don’t have to attend all the events. In fact, you will get burnt out and get overwhelmed!
It’s okay if you don’t do everything. If you save a few hours of googling in confusion per month, you will have realized the value of your membership!
What are mentorship hours?
Mentorship hours are drop-in sessions where you can get 1:1 help from a mentor if you get stuck on a coding issue.
Will webinars be recorded?
Yes. They will be recorded, and you can watch the replay anytime.
